Great for home use

This printer is affordable and comes with a toner that is roughly five hundredth full, and sadly with no USB cable. For home use this is often an ideal printer, that's moderately quick and produces superb quality prints. Printing is affordable and also the toner works even once long periods while not being employed - I keep another Laserjet P1005 in my vacation target Italy, so I will print once I am there, one thing I may ne'er do with Associate in Nursing inkjet. i believe most users don't want a color printer, since photographs square measure too big-ticket to print reception with a color inkjet on photo paper anyway. I do advocate this printer for home use.

A great alternative to ink-jet printers.

Having grown sick and tired of ink-jet printer, I decided to look at the laser and was surprised by the price P1005. I just need the basic capabilities of black and white, and the result of the previous reviewers comments, it is a bit of a no-brainer when it comes to making a decision! I was not disappointed.

P1005 doesn't take much space, it looks very solid, quick and easy software to install (I'm running Windows XP) and the print quality is very good. Okay, that's a little bit noisy (but no more than ink-jet) and warp very slightly (I have yet to try better quality paper but-so maybe it is just to cheap brands I've ever used so far) and it didn't come with a USB cable is required. But, in terms of value for money, I couldn't be more pleased.

Budget printers that hits the mark

Printing needs I always simple, and usually rare, so have never been served well by Ink Jet and their tendency to dry out in a long time.

My main criterion is size and Mac OSX compatibility, and of course, with the HP brand and budget pricing helps!. Software installation is quick and easy, either in OSX and Windows XP. Since outdated enclosed CDROM, you will want to get a new driver from HP web site before you begin.

You also need to enter your own USB cable with ' B ' plug to connect to the computer. If like me, you've bought before computing devices, there's a good chance you already have a backup on this one. Install the software first before you connect to the printer. The first paper would appear quite quickly, even when printing full page images, but expect to see a few plumes of smoke or dust with the first few pages.

Setup instructions for HP LaserJet P1005 Printer Drivers

1. Click the download link,
2. Select "Save", specify the drive/folder (Save As), then
